When entering the facility, the free mulch is located to the left along the fence. Please follow the cones and signs to form the line so not to obstruct the heavy equipment using other functions of the facility.
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture Trade and Consumer Protection has certified our brush processing site for safe shredding of ash trees. This means that mulch coming from our site will be free of the emerald ash borer. You can be assured that our mulch will not transmit the emerald ash borer to your property and our mulch can be moved anywhere in the State of Wisconsin.
Play streets and block parties are a fun and easy way to build community and get to know your neighbors. Street closures can be hosted on a recurring basis, up to 3 days a week for a maximum of 12 hours per week. Gather your neighbors to hold a block party in your street or turn the street over to the kids for play! With a free permit, you can host your event on your neighborhood non-arterial street! Best of all, the permit is free.
Some closures exceed the thresholds we have established for block parties and play streets and are not allowed under this permit. The block party/play street program is intended for neighborhood- scale gatherings. If your street closure event exceeds the following thresholds, it cannot be permitted as a block party/play street. Check out the Street & Sidewalk Activities page to see permitting options for larger street closure events:
We are applying for a free permit from the Seattle Department of Transportation to close our street for some outdoor fun and recreation in our street! The street closure will only restrict through traffic. All local traffic, including neighbors, visitors, deliveries, and emergency vehicles, will still be able to access the street. We are thinking of requesting (day/days of week) between (start time) and (end time), beginning on (date) and ending on (date).
We've added a brand new free bus service downtown to complement the Free MallRide: The Free MetroRide. This service offers weekday rush hour service between Union Station and Civic Center Station, making limited stops along 18th and 19th Streets.
The new transit and pedestrian mall provided transit hubs for RTD buses at either end of downtown, removing more than 600 bus trips per day that traversed up and down 16th and 17th streets, contributing to both air and traffic congestion.
The Bureau of Forestry plants trees along the public right-of-way throughout the City of Chicago. The benefits of trees are numerous and ever increasingly important in this age of climate change, in achieving a cleaner, greener, sustainable environment. Chicago property owners who want a new tree planted on their parkways should call 311 or submit a request online to register for this free city service.
If you are a property owner, you can have a tree planted on your street for free! Submit a Service Request through our tree service request system or by calling 311. After making your request, you will receive an identification number to track its status.
The program is free if you keep every trip to 45 minutes or less and make sure you lock your bike at a station at the end of every trip. Trips longer than 45 minutes will incur an extra $2.00 per additional 30 minutes.
COVID-19 testing at Sixteenth Street is available for established patients only. If you do not have a doctor, we are always welcoming new patients. Vaccines are free and available for anyone 5 years of age and older by scheduled appointment. Sixteenth currently has the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.

State Code 5 June 3, 1960, allows free parking for people with disabilities who have state-issued identification (either a placard or a handicap license plate) in metered or timed parking spaces. This includes Parking Meters, Garages, and Lots and only applies to City, County, and State-owned facilities. There are several garages and lots that are privately owned, and they do not offer free parking for people with disabilities.
When parking at a metered space please be sure your placard is visible. It should either hang from the rear view mirror or be placed on the dashboard. When leaving a garage to receive free parking, you will be asked to show your disabled placard or identification.
Charleston accepts disabled placards from other states. A disabled veteran license plate also qualifies for free parking. Please be aware that handicap placards or license plates do not allow parking in Commercial Loading Zones.

A full list of parking permits can be found by clicking here. Information on the most common permits for our UNT community are listed in a graph below. Permits are available online through the UNT Parking Portal. Permits are pro-rated throughout the year. They are removeable so that you can use them on all vehicles you register on our permit site; however they are not transferable to another individual. Our campus map shows the areas where permitted vehicles may park. 2ff7e9595c
