  • Say "Allahu akbar" and prostrate, placing your forehead, nose, palms, knees, and toes on the ground. Say "subhana rabbiyal a'la" (glory be to my Lord, the most high) three times or more.



  • Say "Allahu akbar" and sit up, resting on your left leg and keeping your right foot upright. Say "rabbighfir li" (my Lord, forgive me).



  • Say "Allahu akbar" and prostrate again, repeating the same words as before.



  • This completes one unit of prayer. For the second unit, repeat steps 3 to 8, but after sitting up, recite the first part of the testimony of faith, which is "ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah" (I bear witness that there is no god but Allah).



  • For the third and fourth units, repeat steps 3 to 8, but only recite al-Fatiha in step 4, and recite the second part of the testimony of faith, which is "wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan rasulullah" (and I bear witness that Muhammad is His messenger) in step 9.



  • After completing the fourth unit, remain sitting and recite the final supplications, which include praising Allah, sending blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad, seeking forgiveness and protection from Allah, and making any personal requests.



  • End the prayer by turning your head to the right and saying "assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah" (peace and mercy of Allah be upon you), then turning your head to the left and saying the same thing.
